Kiridashi by RDG
Description
These kiridashi were made with stone polishing and stone testing in mind. They are thick-stock 52100 and wrought iron forge welded in house by Ryan Geiger. The wrought iron was reclaimed from the wheel of an antique farm instrument. The chunky bevel and beautifully texture wrought makes these a joy to use on natural stones. Of course they are still very practical marking knives as well! Each of these has been finished on Tajima natural stone prior to shipment and is ready for further polishing.
This one is a little different in that it has a dramatic forged in taper towards the heel.
The final video is my personal kiridashi from this series and shows the detail you can expect when each blade is fully polished.
